Our client, an ATM management company, was in need of a solution to gather and reconcile vaulting data from multiple sources more efficiently and transfer data from a local server to the cloud. Their existing workflow involved numerous manual steps, such as obtaining information from multiple vaulters, manually reconciling data using Excel against data received from banks and third-party reporting tools.
The primary challenge was to develop an intuitive and user-friendly system for vaulters in the field who have limited time. Additionally, the client required a solution that would improve planning processes, simplify communication of planned transactions to vaulters, and streamline information gathering from third-party sources. The last step was upload client’s data to the cloud.
Sprinterra proposed “ATM Vaults,” a fully automated cloud-based solution for ATM management, developed using key technologies such as Python (Django) for the backend, MySQL for database management, and AWS for cloud hosting, seamless data uploads, and scalability. The project was executed in several phases, evolving into a sophisticated weekly vaulting plan that enabled easy one-click reporting. To address the challenge of gathering information from third-party sources, an efficient ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) process was developed to parse incoming files from an FTP location and load the data into the ATM Vaults. Sprinterra also created a forecasting model based on historical data and integrated it into the system, providing predictive insights that made planning more convenient for end users.
